The prestigious Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has declared the list of candidates who have been shortlisted for the Essay Writing, Group Discussion and Interview rounds for admission to the MBA (International Business) programme. As per IIFT admissions authorities, The cut off for the General category candidates was 33.75.
What is interesting to note is that for 281 seats, IIFT has shortlisted 1100 candidates for second round of the admissions process for the batch of 2012-14. This is a marginal increase in the numbers if compared to last year's number of 1029.
This total of 281 seats combines seats of both campuses of IIFT- Delhi and Kolkata. Based on the total number of candidates shortlisted and the total number of seats available, the Call Ratio comes to around 4 calls for 1 seat this time.
According to intimation by IIFT, interviews of these shortlisted candidates will be held in January 2012 in the cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai. Each shortlisted candidate will soon get a letter from the institute mentioning the date when they will be called for interview, GD and Essay writing.
